Pay As You Go – by far my most popular service. Simple, no messing. We agree the day(s) you require me to be on site, we agree an hourly rate and a cost per mile for my travel. You are buying my time so duties can vary according to need. Available on demand and at short notice (availability visible online). Availability can not be guaranteed.

- Generally working time is charged (to the nearest 1/4 hour), except where distance is over three hours from home.

Lambing
fixed term contracts – one of my more popular services. We agree the start and end date, I turn up and work through the duration of your lambing, hours to your requirements. I can run your shed, lamb your outdoor flock or manage your fields as required. We agree an hourly rate and a cost per mile for my travel to your farm. Accommodation will be required in most circumstances unless very local to home (CA4 postcode area between Penrith & Carlisle). Availability can not be guaranteed.

Mentoring
Your sheep, your equipment, my time. As little or as much time as you think you need to help with anything sheep related. £200 per day + £0.50 per mile per day from the village of Armathwaite. I can teach you to lamb, shear, general husbandry skills, anything – you set the agenda / goals. Available on demand (availability visible online) and often available at short notice. Availability can not be guaranteed.

Dogging available!

Conservation grazing
Help and advice (and dare I say it?) consultancy. Having worked with organisations like the Wildlife trusts and the Heart Of England Forest I can help and advise on everything conservation grazing wise. Stock Preperation
A demon with baby oil, clippers, a comb and a hair dryer. I can help prepare stock for show or sale. Having an enviable reputation in the rare breed sheep world and having won many a best in show I can help with anything from a belly clip to the full beauty parlour treatment.
